\nThis blade is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works of Hizen no Kuni ju Fujiwara Tadahiro.
\nHabaki: Single-layer silver habaki.
\nBlade Length: 39.0 cm (15.35 in).
\nCurvature: 0.6 cm (0.24 in).
\nMekugi Hole: 1.
\nWidth at Base (Motohaba): 3.15 cm (1.24 in).

\nEra: Edo period, around the Kanbun era (1661-1673).
\nShape: A wide and robust wakizashi with substantial kasane, carved with a bohi and soehi, and displaying slight sakizori.
\nJigane: Closely resembles the jigane of his father.
\nWell-forged ko-itame hada producing excellent quality steel.
\nHamon: Nie-deki with a deep nioiguchi and slightly elongated ashi.
\nThe boshi returns in a clean, rounded form.<\/p>\n

Features: This wakizashi was forged during the transitional period when the first-generation Tadayoshi was succeeded by the second-generation Tadahiro.
\nIts youthful vigor and dynamic workmanship are among its greatest attractions.
\nFrom his teenage years, Tadahiro studied sword forging under his father, Tadayoshi, and by around the age of 20 had already developed into a highly accomplished swordsmith.
\nFollowing his father’s death, he continued forging swords with the assistance of many disciples, producing numerous blades of exceptional quality.
\nThis work vividly reflects both the energy and the advanced craftsmanship that characterize this important transitional stage in his career.<\/p>\n
