\nThe workmanship of this sword is ranked as Jyojyo Saku (upper superior grade) among works by Kanemichi (Seki).<\/p>\n

Habaki: Double-layer silver-covered habaki.
\nBlade Length: 26.8cm (10.55in)
\nCurvature: 0.1cm (0.04in)
\nMekugi-ana: 2
\nMotohaba: 2.69cm (1.06in)
\nKasane: 0.57cm (0.22in)
\nWeight: 175g<\/p>\n

Era: Muromachi period, 15-16th century
\nShape: A stout tanto with slightly thick kasane and a well-proportioned, robust shape.
\nJigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with a faint utsuri appearing.<\/p>\n

Hamon: The hamon on both sides is of similar pattern.
\nThe nioiguchi is deep, forming a gunome-midare.
\nToward the upper section, the hamon becomes more suguha-like with mixed gunome elements.
\nThe boshi turns back in a rounded form.<\/p>\n

Features: This type of double-edged hamon (nijuba) is often seen in high-quality Bizen works made by smiths using common names.
\nThe jigane is excellent, and the hamon is outstanding as well.
\nThis is a tanto that can be highly recommended.<\/p>\n
