\nKawachi no Kami Fujiwara Kunisuke was a swordsmith from Ise Province. He entered the school of Horikawa Kunihiro in Kyoto and studied primarily under Echigo no Kami Kunitomo. Afterward, he moved to Osaka together with his fellow student, the first-generation Kunisada, where he became highly influential in the development of the Osaka swordsmithing tradition.
\nThe exact meaning of the ura-mei \u201cMotte Jigane Togi Saku Kore\u201d (\u4ee5\u5730\u9244\u7814\u4f5c\u4e4b) is not clearly understood. However, it is known that his disciple, Tsuda Echizen no Kami Sukehiro, also engraved the same inscription on his works.\u3000There are some cracks on the surface. <\/p>\n
