Together with the Hirata, Nishigaki, and Shimizu schools, it formed the four major traditions of Higo metalwork.

Many works of the Hayashi School are sukashi tsuba (openwork sword guards), primarily fashioned from iron. Their iron exhibits excellent patination, developing a rich and attractive yokan-like dark brown color, and is highly regarded for its superior texture and quality.

Included:

Paulownia wood box
Aoi Art appraisal certificate
NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu certificate

Ordering Number: AF26070 Tsuba: Bukan Sukashi (Openwork Design of Samurai Crests) (Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu) Signature: Unsigned (Hayashi School) 林 Dimensions: 7.76 cm × 7.47 cm (3.06 in × 2.94 in) Thickness of center: 0.52 cm (0.20 in) Weight: 122 g Period: Edo Period Description: An iron tsuba in a chrysanthemum-shaped form with a polished surface, […]

[133,121

0":"post-31766","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","5":"product_cat-tsuba-en","6":"product_cat-fittings-en","8":"first","9":"instock","10":"sold-individually","11":"shipping-taxable","12":"product-type-auction
["GET
