was an Rikugun Jumei Tosho swordsmith from Saitama Prefecture.<br \/>\nHis real name was Koyano Akitomi.<br \/>\nHe studied under Kurihara Akihide and continued forging swords throughout his career.<\/p>\n<p>Koshirae: Naval Military Mounts.<\/p>\n<p>Historical Background: As indicated by the inscription \u201cNew Spring, Showa 19 (1944),\u201d this sword was made when the war was approaching its final stage.<br \/>\nIt was a period when swordsmiths devoted themselves to producing the highest quality blades possible under difficult circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>This blade has been
