\nDewa Daijo Fujiwara Kunimichi was one of the most renowned swordsmiths among the disciples of Horikawa Kunihiro, and is also said to have studied under Kinmichi.<\/p>\n

He is believed to have been born around Tensho 4 (1576), and his latest works are thought to date to around Meireki 3 (1657). It is also believed that he received the title of Dewa Daijo around Keicho 19 (1614).
\nLike the works of Kunihiro, this piece features jigane with intense Jigane patterns with flowing masame-hada, while the hamon displays active sunagashi and striking kinsuji within the temper line, creating a magnificent and highly impressive appearance.<\/p>\n
