Habaki: Gold-plated double Habaki.
\nBlade Length: 65.6 cm (25.83 in).
\nCurvature: 2.4 cm (0.94 in).
\nMekugi Hole: 2.
\nWidth at Base (Motohaba): 2.81 cm (1.11 in).
\nWidth at Tip (Sakihaba): 1.72 cm (0.68 in).
\nThickness (Kasane): 0.54 cm (0.21 in).
\nSword Weight: 560 grams.<\/p>\n

Era: Late Muromachi period, around Tenbun (1532-1555), possibly around Choroku (1457-1460).<\/p>\n

Shape: A katana with solid width and thickness.
\nDeep curvature with a slightly elongated kissaki.<\/p>\n

Jigane: Fine ko-itame hada, well forged, resulting in a beautiful steel surface.
\nAlthough there are some minor flaws, they are not very noticeable, and it can be described as having a clean and attractive hamon.<\/p>\n

Hamon: Ko-nie based suguha with a slightly moist appearance.<\/p>\n

Features: The Hozon certificate states Iwami, Tenbun era, but due to the strong curvature, I believe it may date slightly earlier, possibly around the Choroku era (1457-1460).
\nThe jigane is often rougher in many examples, but this piece has exceptionally fine steel, which is quite rare.
\nThe polishing is also \u0909\u0924\u094d\u0915\u0943\u0937\u094d\u091f.<\/p>\n

Koshirae:

\nFuchikashira: Shakudo nanako ground with pine needle design in gold iroe.
