\nJigane: Displays the distinctive Ayasugi-hada, also known as Gassan-hada, visible across the entire surface.
\nHamon: The Ayasugi pattern appears prominently, and the polish follows the pattern of the hamon.
\nThe boshi is irregular.<\/p>\n

Features:\u3000The year 2600 in the Imperial calendar corresponds to 1940 (Showa 15), the year before the Pacific War began in 1941 (Showa 16).
\nGassan Sadakatsu was the son of Gassan Sadakazu and initially produced works on his father’s behalf.
\nAfter his father\u2019s passing, he began making many swords for military personnel.
\nHe was also skilled in carving horimono (blade engravings) and left behind many excellent works.
\nIn 1916 (Taisho 5), Sadakatsu was already acting as a substitute maker and doing blade carvings.
\nHe established a forge in Yoshino, Nara Prefecture, where he and his apprentices produced many swords for soldiers heading to the battlefield.<\/p>\n
