There are kirikomi (cut mark) on the mune, and the blade as a whole conveys a strong sense of age.<br \/>\nThe Uda school was a group of swordsmiths who migrated from Uda District in Yamato Province to Etch\u016b Province. Founded by Ko-Ny\u016bd\u014d Kunimitsu in the late Kamakura period, the school included smiths such as Kunifusa, Kunimune, and Kunitsugu.
