Features: Fujiwara Takada refers to swordsmiths from Bungo Takada who were active from the late Muromachi period to the early Edo period. While Takada works are often similar to Bizen blades, this piece as well features a flamboyant gunome-midare temper pattern. Compared to Bizen works, however, the jigane is more tightly forged, giving it a plain, muji(plain)-like appearance. <\/p>\n
