The boshi turns back in a round shape.<\/p>\n<p>Features: The Yamato Tegai school is said to have originated from swordsmiths who resided outside the Tengaimon gate in front of Todaiji Temple in Nara and were likely affiliated with the temple. The founder of the Tegai school is considered to be Kanenaga of the mid Kamakura period. The school prospered the most among Yamato traditions and is characterized by bright and clear jigane with strong nie activity.<br \/>\nThis work is not merely a simple suguha; it shows active ko-ashi and yo, with kuichigai-ba and a deep nioiguchi. The hamon resembles that of Kanenaga of the Tegai school. A faint utsuri appears, giving the blade an elegant and refined impression.<\/p>\n<p>Koshirae:<br \/>\nTsuba: Mokko-shaped shakudo ground with a high-relief wave design, the rim carved with dragons and clouds, finished with gold coloring.<br \/>\nFuchikashira: Iron ground with plum blossom design in high relief, finished with gold coloring.<br \/>\nSaya (Scabbard): Brown and black irregular lacquered saya, with some peeling on the upper and lower areas.<br \/>\nKojiri: Shakudo nanako ground.<br \/>\nMenuki: Dragon design in high relief with gold coloring.<\/p>\n<p>Aoi Art\u2019s Comment: This is a Tegai school work of Yamato, designated as Juyo Token due to its high quality.
