From these features, the work is considered to be by Tomoshige. The style of this smith shows a distinctive blend of the style of Bizen and Seki.<br \/>\nThis piece displays a slightly dark itame-hada, with a hamon of wide-based gunome-midare. The temper line includes pointed elements and tobiyaki (scattered temper), forming a lively and dynamic pattern.
