\nBlade Length: 69.8 cm (27.48 in).
\nCurvature: 1.0 cm (0.39 in).
\nMekugi Hole: 1.

\nWidth at Yokote (Sakihaba): 2.25 cm (0.89 in).

Shape: The blade has a solid width and thickness, with an extended kissaki.
\nJigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with abundant ji-nie, and chikei appears clearly throughout the surface.
\nHamon: Nie-based small gunome-midare mixed with choji-midare, with active ashi.
\nSunagashi and kinsuji appear within the hamon.
\nThe boshi is midare-komi, ending in hakikake and forming a double edge.<\/p>\n

Features: \u201cYamato Shizu\u201d originally refers to works made by Kanetsugu during the period when he lived in Yamato and signed with the name Kaneuji, before moving to Shizu in Tagi District of Mino Province.
\nHowever, after he moved to Mino, there were also swordsmiths in Yamato who used the Kaneuji signature, and in a broader sense these are also referred to as Yamato Shizu.
\nThis sword shows abundant gunome-midare with well-developed ji-nie and strong jigane.
\nThe hamon mixes gunome, ko-gunome, and choji elements, fully demonstrating the characteristic features of Yamato Shizu.<\/p>\n

\nTsuba: Yatsu-mokk\u014d shaped brass plate with engraved lines and silver inlaid line patterns.
\nFuchikashira: Iron ground with high relief carving of clouds and gold-colored decoration.
\nSaya (Scabbard): Ishime-nuri textured scabbard with a differently lacquered rear section.
\nMenuki: Solid gold (probably) with high relief carving of a dragon.
\nKojiri: Iron ground with high relief carving of clouds and gold-colored decoration.
\nIto: Leather wrapping.<\/p>\n

\nThe hamon retains the typical characteristics of Yamato Shizu and possesses the dignity of a classical koto blade.
\nThe koshirae is in the Higo style and gives the piece a refined atmosphere.
