and Regular Saku).<br \/>\nThis work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku for Akita ju Mitsuryushi Shigetoshi.<br \/>\nHabaki: Solid copper, single layer.<br \/>\nBlade Length: 69.24 cm (27.26 in).<br \/>\nCurvature: 1.52 cm (0.60 in).<br \/>\nMekugi Hole: 1.<br \/>\nWidth at Base (Motohaba): 3.31 cm (1.30 in).<br \/>\nWidth at Tip (Sakihaba): 2.19 cm (0.86 in).<br \/>\nThickness (Kasane): 0.84 cm (0.33 in).<br \/>\nSword Weight: 815 g.<br \/>\nEra: Dated December, Keio 3 (1867), just before the Meiji era.<br \/>\nShape: Wide blade with substantial thickness and standard curvature.<br \/>\nJigane: Well-forged itame hada, with the grain clearly visible.<br \/>\nHamon: Nie-deki, ko-choji midare with active ashi, and a boshi that turns back in a rounded manner.<\/p>\n<p>Features: Akita ju Mitsuryushi Shigetoshi was a very rare swordsmith, and as the Meiji era began, he encountered the Haitorei (Sword Abolishment Edict) before he could fully demonstrate his abilities.<br \/>\nIt is truly regrettable, as he was a swordsmith of considerable skill.<br \/>\nThere were few swordsmiths in Akita, making this a highly recommended work.<\/p>\n<p>Koshirae: A reproduction of the National Treasure Shunuri Kin-hirumaki Koshirae of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.<br \/>\nTsuba: Solid copper ground with namako-sukashi design.<br \/>\nFuchi: Vermilion lacquer.<br \/>\nKashira: Gold maki-e.<br \/>\nSaya (Scabbard): Vermilion lacquer with gold maki-e.<br \/>\nMenuki: High-relief dragon design with gold coloring.<\/p>\n<p>Aoi Art\u2019s Comment: The koshirae is a reproduction of Toyotomi
