\nHabaki: Solid copper, single layer.
\nBlade Length: 69.24 cm (27.26 in).
\nCurvature: 1.52 cm (0.60 in).
\nMekugi Hole: 1.
\nWidth at Base (Motohaba): 3.31 cm (1.30 in).
\nWidth at Tip (Sakihaba): 2.19 cm (0.86 in).
\nThickness (Kasane): 0.84 cm (0.33 in).
\nSword Weight: 815 g.
\nEra: Dated December, Keio 3 (1867), just before the Meiji era.
\nShape: Wide blade with substantial thickness and standard curvature.
\nJigane: Well-forged itame hada, with the grain clearly visible.
\nHamon: Nie-deki, ko-choji midare with active ashi, and a boshi that turns back in a rounded manner.<\/p>\n

Features: Akita ju Mitsuryushi Shigetoshi was a very rare swordsmith, and as the Meiji era began, he encountered the Haitorei (Sword Abolishment Edict) before he could fully demonstrate his abilities.
\nIt is truly regrettable, as he was a swordsmith of considerable skill.
\nThere were few swordsmiths in Akita, making this a highly recommended work.<\/p>\n

Koshirae: A reproduction of the National Treasure Shunuri Kin-hirumaki Koshirae of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
\nTsuba: Solid copper ground with namako-sukashi design.
\nFuchi: Vermilion lacquer.
\nKashira: Gold maki-e.
\nSaya (Scabbard): Vermilion lacquer with gold maki-e.
\nMenuki: High-relief dragon design with gold coloring.<\/p>\n
