Around 1641, he received the title of Kawachi no Kami.<br \/>\nUnlike other Hizen smiths, he favored forging midare hamon in a nie-deki style reminiscent of the Soshu style, and he was highly valued by Nabeshima Katsushige the lard of the Saga clan. Among the so-called \u201cB\u014d-Hizen\u201d smiths, he is regarded as the most accomplished, and it is said that he also produced works on behalf of Tadahiro.<br \/>\nDuring the Edo period, the production of tanto was limited, making this a rare and valuable work.
