It is said that this shape was favored due to the rise of kenjutsu practice, as it was better suited for thrusting techniques.<\/p>\n<p>Koshirae:<br \/>\nTsuba: iIron ground, carved in openwork with windows and pine trees, decorated with gold inlay of arabesque designs.<br \/>\nFuchikasrhia: a design of autumn insects and plants.
