\nThe 1st-generation Iga no Kami Kinmichi moved to Kyoto with his father Seki Kinmichi, his brothers Izumi no Kami Kinmichi, Tanba no Kami Yoshimichi, and Etchu no Kami Masatoshi, where each became active in their craft. From the second generation Kinmichi, he was granted the title of “Nihon Kaji Sosho” (Chief Swordsmith of Japan). From then on, the title “Iga no Kami” and “Nihon Kaji Sosho” were inherited, and carved the chrysanthemum crest on the tang. <\/p>\n
