\nJigane: Very dense jigane, bright and clear in appearance.
\nHamon: Nioi-based suguha with ko-ashi entering and activity of double hamon (nij\u016bba).
\nThe boshi is hakikake.
\nA beautiful and tightly forged blade in the Yamato tradition.<\/p>\n

Features: Tegai Kanetoshi was a swordsmith of the Yamato Tegai school and a student of Tegai Kanehiro.
\nThe first generation is said to have worked around the Eitoku era in the Nanbokucho period (circa 1381\u20131384).<\/p>\n

\nTsuba: Iron tsuba of an unusual shape, inlaid with sayagata pattern in gold.
\nSignature: Yoshihisa (\u826f\u4e45).
\nFuchi: Silver base engraved with dragons and waves.
\nSignature: Fujii Yoshitaka (\u85e4\u4e95\u7fa9\u656c).
\nKashira: Plain (no decoration).
\nSaya (Scabbard): Black ro-iro lacquer saya with carved diagonal patterns.
\nMenuki: Shakudo nanakoji with paulownia crests (kiri mon) in gold.<\/p>\n

Aoi Art\u2019s Comment: This is an unsigned blade attributed to Tegai Kanetoshi, likely made around the mid-Muromachi period (circa 1452).
\nThe jigane is exceptionally refined and beautifully forged.<\/p>\n
