\nWidth at Base (Motohaba): 2.25 cm (0.89 in)
\nThickness of rim (Kasane): 0.645 cm (0.25 in)
\nShape:Slightly thick kasane, with bohi and futasuji-hi carved on both sides.
\nThe mune is mitsumune (triple ridged).
\nJigane:A fine and dense steel with a faint utsuri appearing.
\nHamon:Nioi-based straight hamon with partial double hamon and some utsurige.
\nThe boshi appears like yakitsume style.<\/p>\n

Aoi Art\u2019s Comment:\u3000This tanto, made in August of Oei 7 (1400), is an exceptionally fine work with excellent jigane.
\nIt is rare to find Yamato works from the Oei period, and this piece is notable for its beautiful jigane.
