\nThis work is ranked as Jyo Saku among Sadaaki’s works.
\nHabaki: Single-layer silver
\nBlade Length: 71.6 cm (28.19 in)
\nCurvature: 1.9 cm (0.75 in)
\nMekugi Hole: 1
\nWidth at Base (Motohaba): 3.16 cm (1.24 in)
\nWidth at Tip (Sakihaba): 2.22 cm (0.87 in)
\nThickness of rim (Kasane): 0.60 cm (0.24 in)
\nSword Weight: 585 grams
\nShape: Balanced width and thickness with deep curvature and extended kissaki.
\nA bohi (groove) is carved on both sides, and the nakago is ubu (unaltered).
\nJigane: Ko-itame mixed with masame.
\nHamon: Nie-deki with rounded gunome midare.
\nBoshi is rounded.<\/p>\n

Features: This blade was made by swordsmith Sadaaki, whose real name is Koichi Noguchi, born in 1929 (Showa 4).
\nHe resides in Shiozawa-machi, Minamiuonuma-gun, Niigata Prefecture, and was a disciple of swordsmith Teiji Watanabe.
\nHe is a member of the Japanese Swordsmith Association and has received numerous awards at the New Sword Masterpiece Exhibition.
\nOne of the most notable features of his work is the effort to reduce the sword\u2019s weight as much as possible.
\nHe aimed to prevent tendonitis, which can be caused by heavier swords, by making them lighter and more suitable for Iai.
\nI personally believe this approach is quite reasonable.
\nFor those practicing Iai or for appreciation, especially elderly users, this lightweight design may be particularly beneficial.<\/p>\n
