\nShape: A slightly extended tanto with well-forged itame and mokume hada.
\nBoth sides feature a bo-hi (groove).
\nJigane: Ko-itame hada, very well-forged with visible utsuri.
\nHamon: Ko-itame hada is well-refined with utsuri, and the hamon is a straight suguha.
\nThe boshi is in a yakizume style.<\/p>\n

Features: This work by Naminohira Yasuyoshi from Satsushu is highly recommended for its fine jigane, gentle hamon, and soft utsuri.
\nThe rare back signature dated “Entoku 3 Nen Ne no Gan no Hi” also adds to its value.
\nThis is an excellent piece that retains the atmosphere of a Koto (old sword), and we highly recommend it.<\/p>\n

\nTsuba: Circular iron tsuba with sukashi carving of dragon and battle scene.
\nInscription on front: \u201cMotokata Soten Sei\u201d, on back: \u201cGoshu Hikone Ju\u201d.
\nFuchikashira: Shakudo base with high-relief carving of figures and brooms, accented with gold.
\nSaya (Scabbard): Ume kawazutsumi style (plum bark patterned saya).
\nMenuki: Shakudo base with plum blossom carvings, partially accented in gold.<\/p>\n
