\nFive-character mei. The smith was the younger brother of Yamashiro no Kami Toshinaga and was active around the Enp\u014d era (1673\u20131681).
\nHe later moved to Ise, where he continued swordsmithing.
\nThe piece displays a powerful and dynamic wakizashi form.
\nThe tightly forged hada and wide, undulating hamon with deep nioi and abundant nie activity give this piece an expressive and forceful character, ranking it among the finest works of this smith.
\nDated: Autumn, Reiwa 5 (2023), Inscribed by Tanzan (with ka\u014d)<\/p>\n
