\nA well-preserved piece with deep curvature and an extended kissaki, giving it a dignified appearance.
\nJigane (Steel grain): Finely forged ko-itame hada with tight grain.
\nHamon (Temper line): Nie-deki with dense activity, featuring prominent kinsuji and sunagashi.<\/p>\n

Characteristics: Taira Sadashige was born on March 25, 1923, in Aichi Prefecture. His real name was Kiyomi Imai. He studied sword-making under Living National Treasure Takahashi Sadatsugu.
\nHe received multiple awards in the Shinsaku Meit\u014d Ten (Newly Made Master Sword Exhibition), and in 1943, he was appointed a designated swordsmith for the Kokura Army Arsenal.
\nHe is regarded as one of the representative swordsmiths of the Showa era.<\/p>\n

\nThe bright, clear jigane is outstanding among modern swords, and the especially long kinsuji is remarkable.
