Era: the early Muromachi period, circa 1400
\nShape: Narrow and thick blade, the Shinogi-ji in the upper half has been partially cut off, which appears as a neckline when viewed from the side. This is a characteristic shape of the Kikuchi spear.
\nJigane: Itame hada with intense grain pattern and Utsuri
\nHamon: Ko-nie base Suguha with Sunagashi.<\/p>\n

Features:
\nThe Kikuchi spear is said to have been commissioned by the Kikuchi clan, who were active in Higo during the Nanboku-ch\u014d period, and crafted by the Enju school.
\nIt is believed to have been used by being tied to the end of a long bamboo pole.\u3000In addition to the Enju school, other groups such as the Naminohira school of Satsuma also produced them.<\/p>\n
