We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
\nThis work is ranked as Jyo Saku among the works attributed to Kurihara Chikuzen no Kami Nobuhide (Not Guaranteed).
\nHabaki: Gold-colored Habaki
\nBlade Length: 67.1 cm (26.42 in)
\nCurvature: 1.0 cm (0.39 in)
\nMekugi Hole: 1
\nWidth at Base (Motohaba): 3.0 cm (1.18 in)
\nWidth at Tip (Sakihaba): 2.0 cm (0.79 in)
\nThickness (Kasane): 0.7 cm (0.28 in)
\nSword Weight: 620 grams
\nEra: Late Edo Period
\nShape:A normally proportioned blade with solid thickness.
\nHorimono is engraved on both sides with bo-hi (grooves).
\nThe kissaki is slightly wide and the curvature is average.
\nJigane:Koitame-hada well-forged and densely packed.
\nHamon:Nie-deki with irregular gunome-midare.
\nHorimono of a flower on the front and kanji characters on the back of the blade.<\/p>\n

Features: Although the signature is very well executed, upon close inspection we do not consider it authentic.
\nHowever, the craftsmanship is quite fine, especially the engraving and hamon.<\/p>\n

Koshirae: Finely crafted mounting
\nTsuba: Iron tsuba with octagonal shape and openwork carving.
\nFuchikashira \/ Kojiri: Made of shakudo.
\nSaya (Scabbard): Wrapped with cloth.
\nMenuki: Shakudo with a carved motif of dokko (vajra), with gold detailing.<\/p>\n

Aoi Art\u2019s Comment: Although this is a well-made sword attributed to Kurihara Chikuzen no Kami Nobuhide with horimono by the same hand, we do not certify the signature as authentic.
\nHowever, the hamon and engraving are excellently done.<\/p>\n
