\nShape: Wide blade with thick kasane.
\nA dense kenmakiry\u016b (sword-wrapping dragon) is carved into the blade.
\nJigane: Finely forged ko-itame hada of excellent quality.
\nHamon: Nie-deki, gunome-midare.
\nThe boshi is round with a deep kaeri.<\/p>\n

Features: Unfortunately, this sword is not accepted as a genuine work by Inoue Shinkai by our company.
\nHowever, the dragon carving on the blade is exceptionally well done.<\/p>\n

Koshirae:
\nTsuba: Shakudo plate with overhanging rim, carved with a dragon design in gold iroe.
\nFuchikashira: Shakudo nanako ground, carved with autumn grasses and insects in gold iroe.
\nSaya (Scabbard): Glossy black lacquer with scattered aogai (blue shell inlay).
\nMenuki: Shakudo nanako ground, carved with flowers and a basket in gold iroe.<\/p>\n

Aoi Art\u2019s Comment:
\nThis is a very well-made issaku-koshirae (matching set).
\nThe only unfortunate point is that the signature is a false attribution to Inoue Shinkai.
\nHowever, the dragon carving on the blade is skillfully executed, and the koshirae is also of high quality.
\nThe sword was most likely made in the late Edo period.<\/p>\n
