Features:
\nBizen no Kuni-j\u016b Unji was a swordsmith who worked in Ukai-sh\u014d, Bizen Province, from the late Kamakura period to the early Nanbokuch\u014d period. There are dated works from the Sh\u014dwa, Bunp\u014d, Kenmu eras. Within this school, there were other smiths who bore the character \u201cUn\u201d (\u96f2) in their names, such as Unsho and Unju Their style differs from that of the Bizen Osafune school, incorporating Yamashiro or Yamato influences within the Bizen tradition, and showing workmanship reminiscent of the Rai and Aoe schools.<\/p>\n
