Era: the early Edo period around Kanbun era
\nShape: wide blade with small curvature and slightly big kissaki.
\nJigane: Itame hada with intense grain pattern.
\nHamon: Nie base thick and sofr Gunome midare with soft Ashi. <\/p>\n

\nThe 1st-generation Miyoshi Nagamichi was a renowned swordsmith representing the Aizu region. Due to the exceptional sharpness of his blades, he was nicknamed the \u201cAizu Kotetsu,\u201d and his style also bears similarities to that of Kotetsu.<\/p>\n

According to the appraisal by the Japanese Sword Museum, this blade bears a substitute signature by Ch\u016bj\u014d Nagashige, a student of the first-generation Nagamichi.
\nThe koshirae is simple yet tasteful, reflecting the refined austerity characteristic of an Aizu samurai.<\/p>\n
