\nThis sword is ranked as Jyojyo Saku (excellent grade) among the works of Kouzuke no Kami Fujiwara Kunitune.
\nHabaki: Double-layered plain copper with gold decorative inlay
\nBlade Length: 41.4 cm (16.30 in)

\nWidth at Base (Motohaba): 2.87 cm (1.13 in)
\nWidth at Yokote (Sakihaba): 2.08 cm (0.82 in)
\nThickness of rim (Kasane): 0.61 cm (0.24 in)
\nSword Weight: 395 grams
\nEra: Edo period, around Manji era (circa 1658)
\nShape: The blade has a well-balanced and robust form, with a slightly deep curvature and an extended Kissaki.
\nJigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with active masame, showing fine chikei.
\nHamon: Nie-based gunome midare.
\nActive chikei and kin-suji appear strongly.
\nBoshi is long and features vivid kin-suji.<\/p>\n

Features:Kouzuke no Kami Fujiwara Kunitune was the son of Nara Tar\u014d, also known as Kouzuke Kaneshige, and went by the name Sakonosuke.
\nHe belonged to the Masatsune school, with the first generation active around the Manji era.
\nHe also forged blades in Gifu.
\nThe character \u201cTsun\u00e9 (\u5e38)\u201d in his signature resembles that used by Sagami no Kami Masatsune.<\/p>\n
