\nShape: A slightly large tanto with ample width and thick kasane.
\nJigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with a dark tone.
\nHamon: Nie-deki, continuous gunome-midare, becoming rounded with deep turn-back towards the tip.<\/p>\n

Features: Kanefusa is a renowned swordsmith from Mino with excellent workmanship.
\nHon\u2019ami Naganori, who wrote the sayagaki, was a well-known sword appraiser of the Meiji period and regarded as a highly discerning expert.<\/p>\n

Koshirae: Aikuchi-style mounting
\nFuchikashira \/ Kojiri \/ Kurigata: All in silver, decorated with wave motifs
\nSaya: Finely carved and lacquered in black, of excellent quality
\nMenuki: Crane motif
\nKozuka: Shakudo nanako ground with a raised carving of cranes, color-accented in gold
\nTsuka-ito is believed to be made of whale baleen<\/p>\n
