\nThis work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the swords by Ecchu no Kami Nyudo Kij\u016b of Koriyama in Yamato province.
\nHabaki: Gold-covered single piece
\nBlade Length: 53.8 cm (21.18 in)

\nEra: Mid-Edo period, around Genbun era (1741)
\nShape: Wide blade with slightly thick kasane and moderate curvature, boshi is somewhat extended.
\nJigane: Clearly visible hada, with occasional yakiba appearing in the shinogiji.
\nHamon: Gunome-midare rises from the hamachi, forming a highly active and undulating t\u014dranba style.
\nInside the hamon, sunagashi and kinsuji are present, and the boshi shows irregular midare.<\/p>\n

Features:\u3000Kij\u016b, originally named Terukuni, was the son of Ecchu no Kami Kanekuni.
\nHe was active mainly around the Kan’ei, Sh\u014dtoku, and Ky\u014dh\u014d eras.
\nHe became a monk around H\u014dei 3 (1706).
\nThis blade features a dynamic gunome-midare with deep nioiguchi, rich in activity such as kinsuji and sunagashi within the hamon.
\nThe boshi is round with sweeping hakikake.
\nThe front and back inscriptions are carved with “Oite Washu Koriyama Ecchu no Kami Nyudo Kij\u016b”, and the bold, highly active t\u014dranba hamon is truly remarkable.<\/p>\n

\nTsuba: Shakudo migaki-ji with engraved and gold-inlaid motifs of peony and plum blossoms.
\nRim is silver covered.
\nFuchikashira: Shakudo with engraved design of bamboo and figures, with gold inlay.
\nSigned: Masaharu.
\nSaya (Scabbard): Aogai (blue shell inlay) with painted dragonflies in black.
\nKojiri: Shakudo with high-relief carving of Gama Sennin (Toad Immortal) with gold inlay.
\nMenuki: Shakudo with high-relief carvings of dogs and wildflowers in gold inlay.
\nKozuka: Shakudo nanako-ji with high-relief carving of lions and peonies in gold and silver inlay.
\nKogatana: Small blade from Seki.<\/p>\n
