Features: Gassan Sadakazu was the adopted son of Gassan Sadakichi. In 1851, at the age of 16, he began to forge swords and demonstrated his remarkable talent. He continued to make swords even after the sword prohibition ordinance, and was appointed as an Imperial Artist, which was the highest honor at that time. He died in 1918 at the age of 84.
\nHe specialized in Ayasugi hada, which is a regular series of masa flows like waves, and is also known as a master of sword carving. <\/p>\n
