(superior work) among the works of Aizu ju Shigefusa.<br \/>\nHabaki: Single-layered gold-covered habaki<br \/>\nBlade Length: 70.5 cm (27.76 in)<br \/>\nCurvature: 1.5 cm (0.59 in)<br \/>\nMekugi Hole: 1<br \/>\nWidth at Base (Motohaba): 3.27 cm (1.29 in)<br \/>\nWidth at Tip (Sakihaba): 2.60 cm (1.02 in)<br \/>\nThickness (Kasane): 0.43 cm (0.17 in)<br \/>\nSword Weight: 890 g<br \/>\nEra: Edo period, August 1829<br \/>\nShape: The blade is wide with a thin kasane, suggesting excellent cutting ability.<br \/>\nIt has a relatively deep curvature and a large kissaki.<br \/>\nThe nakago is long, emphasizing cutting performance, reflecting a sword likely carried by a samurai from Aizu.<br \/>\nJigane: Ko-itame hada, well-forged and clearly visible.<br \/>\nHamon: Nie-based gunome-midare with a deep nioiguchi, resembling the style of Izumi no Kami Kanesada at first glance.<\/p>\n<p>Features: Shigefusa was a disciple of Tenryu Kosho Takashi and the younger brother of Jutaka.<br \/>\nThis sword features a large kissaki, a lowered shinogi, steep curvature, and an extended nakago, all of which enhance handling and usability.<br \/>\nThe jigane appears soft in texture, and the hamon is set relatively low, emphasizing cutting ability.<br \/>\nThe blade retains its original ha, is in healthy condition, and the nakago is superbly preserved.<\/p>\n<p>Koshirae:<br \/>\nTsuba: Iron tsuba in a rounded square shape with a floral motif in gold nunome inlay.<br \/>\nFuchikashira: Iron base with paulownia motif in gold nunome inlay.<br \/>\nSaya (Scabbard): Uniquely lacquered
