\nThis work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works by Enju Kunihide.

\nShape: This blade has a wide body of 3.42 cm and is thickly built.
\nThe original blade surface remains intact and the kissaki is long and healthy.
\nIt appears to be in unpolished condition.
\nJigane: Ko-itame hada is well-forged, forming a refined texture.
\nHamon: Nioi-deki, notare hamon with well-formed double lines.
\nSunagashi and kinsuji appear actively, and the boshi turns round.<\/p>\n

Features: A sturdy and healthy blade.
\nEnju Kunihide was originally from Joshu and a disciple of Edo Nakayama Ikkansai Yoshihiro.<\/p>\n

Aoi Art\u2019s Comment:\u3000This is an exceptionally healthy blade.
\nIt was commissioned in April 1807 by a minor daimyo, Kyogoku Takanori of Toyooka domain (15,000 koku).
\nEnju Kunihide is known for forging auspicious swords.
\nThough the domain’s stipend was small, it held the status of daimyo, and it is said the family was active after the abolition of feudal domains.
\nThis sword is a remarkable piece made on daimyo order and is highly recommended.<\/p>\n
