\nIt is said that Gassan Sadakatsu studied the distinctive ayasugi-hada from his father, Gassan Sadakazu, who succeeded in reproducing this forging style.
\nThis piece was made as a celebratory sword for the birth of the Crown Prince, who later became the Emperor Emeritus.
