Shape: The blade is slightly wide, with thick kasane, and has bo-hi carved on both sides.
\nIt has a deep curvature and a well-extended kissaki, presenting a beautiful shape.<\/p>\n

\nHamon: Nie-deki, gunome-midare mixed with choji-midare.<\/p>\n

Features:
\nNoshu ju Kanenobu is a swordsmith from Gifu Prefecture, also known as Tanba Seigo.
\nSometimes his swords are inscribed with this alternative name.
\nHe is particularly skilled in carving horimono (engravings), and his craftsmanship in this area is highly reputed.
\nThe carvings on this sword are carefully executed.
\nRecently, I viewed a work by him modeled after Yamatorige, in the Ichimonji style, and was deeply impressed by its excellence.
\nThe hamon of this piece is in nie-deki gunome-midare, and the boshi (tip tempering) is midare-komi.
