This piece is slightly suriage (shortened), but the nakago remains intact. The hamon features a vibrant choji-midare pattern, indicating superb craftsmanship. Furthermore, the polish on this sword is well-executed, enhancing its already excellent appearance.<\/p>\n<p>Koshirae:<br \/>\nTsuba: Slightly large, round iron tsuba, decorated with gold lines depicting cedar trees.<br \/>\nFuchikashira: Shakudo base with a design of Fudo Myoo (Acala) meditating in a bamboo grove.<br \/>\nFuchi: High-relief carvings of clouds, river flows, and bamboo groves with gold highlights.<br \/>\nSaya (Scabbard): Black roiro (lacquered) finish.<br \/>\nMenuki: Decorated with a carved dokko sword motif.<\/p>\n<p>Aoi Art\u2019s Comment:\u3000This 73.4 cm katana by Awataguchi Omi no Kami Tadatuna is a healthy and well-preserved piece.
