He initially lived in the Shirogane district of Kanda, Edo, and also produced swords in Edo&#8217;s Toshima district. His family name was Tobita, commonly known as Sohee. He is famous for Ryowazamono sharpness, and many of his swords were used for test cutting by Yamano Kaemon and Yamano Kanjuuro.
