\nHe consecutively won awards for six years in the New Master Swordsmith Exhibition, ultimately receiving the Masamune Award\u2014the highest honor in the sword world\u2014and was recognized as a Living National Treasure.
\nRenowned as a master of suguha, his outstanding works closely resemble the finest of the old master swords.
