\nEra: Edo period, around the Horeki era (1752), approximately 271 years ago.
\nShape:A robust and well-balanced piece with a slightly broad body, thick kasane, and extended kissaki with curvature.
\nJigane:Dense ko-itame hada, characteristic of Hizen-style forging.
\nHamon:Nie-based gunome-midare, with well-formed ashi and yo, and the boshi forms a midare-komi that ends in a sweeping kaeri.<\/p>\n

Features:The 5th generation Tadayoshi was the son of the 4th generation Tadakatsu and continued using the name Hashimoto Shinzaemon.
\nDuring his father\u2019s lifetime, he signed as Tadahiro.
\nHe passed away on June 15, An’ei 4 (1775) at the age of 80.<\/p>\n

\nFuchi: Shakudo nanako base with engraved bird design and gold inlay.
\nKashira: Horn material.
\nSaya: Black roiro lacquered saya.
\nMenuki: Plant motif (possibly made of solid gold).<\/p>\n

Aoi Art\u2019s Comment:The 5th generation Tadayoshi was an exceptionally skilled swordsmith.
\nWhile he is well known for producing suguha-based works, he also created swords with Ichimonji-style hamon, as seen in this piece.<\/p>\n
