\nThis sword is ranked as Jyo Saku for the works of Sagami no Kami Fujiwara Hiroshige.
\nHabaki: Silver Double-Layered Habaki.
\nBlade Length: 66.7 cm (26.26 in).
\nCurvature: 2.0 cm (0.79 in).
\nMekugi Hole: 1.
\nWidth at Base (Motohaba): 3.03 cm (1.19 in).
\nWidth at Tip: 2.12 cm (0.83 in).
\nThickness (Kasane): 0.86 cm (0.34 in).

\nEra: Edo Period, around the Kanbun Era (1661-1673).
\nShape:A blade with a broad mihaba and a slightly thick kasane,
\nfeaturing a deep curvature and an elongated kissaki,

Features:This sword features the Yakumo-gitae (Cloud-forged steel),
\nwhich is a beautifully refined forging style unique to Shimohara (Shitahara) swords.<\/p>\n

Aoi Art\u2019s Comment:Sagami no Kami Fujiwara Hiroshige is also known as a Shimohara (Shitahara) swordsmith,
\nthough some craftsmen avoided using the “Shimohara” name on their works, as seen in this piece.
\nNevertheless, Shimohara swords were highly regarded for their sharpness,
\nwhich contributed to their popularity.
\nIn Daibosatsu Toge, a famous novel and film starring Chiezo Kataoka,
\nthe character Musashi Taro Yasuyuki, a disciple of Omura Kaboku,
\nis depicted as a swordsmith of the Shimohara school in Hachioji, Musashi Province,
\nknown as Yamamoto Kinzaemon.
\nDue to its appearance in various novels and adaptations,
\nShimohara swords gained recognition, particularly through their association with Daibosatsu Toge.<\/p>\n
