\nThis piece is ranked as Jyo Saku among the works of Inshu Ju Kanesaki.

\nShape: A moderately sized naginata with a crack near the corner,Machi(\u533a),
\nJigane: Itame-hada, well-forged and beautifully refined.
\nHamon: Nie-deki, gunome-midare with a deep nioiguchi and active ashi. The boshi is round and turns back with a slightly lowered yakizume.<\/p>\n

Features:\u3000Kanesaki was a swordsmith from Inaba, and this piece is considered a work from his later generations.<\/p>\n

\nThe Saya (scabbard) is decorated with the Maru ni Omodaka-mon (circle with water plantain crest).<\/p>\n

Aoi Art\u2019s Comment: This is a well-made piece, likely from a later generation of Kanesaki.
\nThe deep nioiguchi, dynamic gunome-midare, and well-defined ashi make it an excellent work.
