This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.by the finest polisher.
Habaki:　Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length: 67.1 cm or 26.41inches.
Sori : 1.3cm or 0.51inches.

Width at the hamachi:2.73 cm or 1.07inches.
Width at the Kissaki:1.83 cm or 1.72inches.
Kasane:0.62cm or 0.24inches.
The weight of the sword:615grams.
Era : Late Kamakura period
Shape : Osuriage-Mumei with adequate thickness and broadness. Sori is slightly deep and it has longer Kissaki.
Jigane: Koitame-hada mixed with Ko-Mokume-hada, thick Jinie is attached, small Chikei works very well.
Shinogi-ji:Itamehada mixed with Mokumehada, Nagare-Masame mixes in.
Hamon :Koniedeki Suguha with deep Nioikuchi, gets brighter, Koashi is soft, Ha works well.
Boshi:Deep Nioikuchi, gets round Sori, ends with Hakigake.

Special feature: Taima is one of the Yamato 5 Schools(Taima, Hosho, Tegai, Senjuin, Shikkake) and its founder is Kuniyu from the mid-Kamakura period. There are seldom works with Mei, most of them are judged from Mumei.(Mumei-Kiwame) The style is similar to the Yamashiro-mono: deep Nioikuchi Suguha, Sunagashi and Kinsuji work elegantly in Hachu.

From Aoi Art: This is Osuriage-Mumei with Shinogi-ji, we can see the Jigane from Kamakura period very well. Unbelievably well grained Koitame-hada mixed with Ko-Mokume-hada, Jinie is thick, Chikei works well to be a marvelous Jigane. Hamon is basically Suguha with deep Nioikuchi, Habuchi is soft and the blade is bright, Sunagashi and Kinsuji works elaborately in Hachu. Shinogiji has some small Uchikomi-Kizu(Hitting Scratch), which means it was really used in the war at the time. Finest polisher has brought out the greatness of Jigane and Hamon perfectly, the polish smith has done a very good job. There is some works of Taima which remind of Awataguchi, this is one of them. This is a Juyo Token with Homare-Kizu(glorious flaws) in Mune, the finest Jigane and Hamon, which we truly recommend for you.
