Special feature: Kanenori Miyamoto was born in Hoki (now Tottori Prefecture) in the first year of Tenpo (1830). He was 22 years old and he was introduced to Yusuke Yokoyama in Bizen. Seven years later, he returned home after receiving the swordsmith’s inscription and became the priest of the Tottori domain. In 1863, he went up to Kyoto and opened. In the second year of Keio (1866), he trained Emperor Komei’s sword at the order of Arisugawanomiya and received Noto Mamoru in the same year. He served in the role of Boshin, returned to Kyoto after the fall of Edo Castle, and trained Emperor Meiji’s swords and daggers at the three peaks of Fushimi Inari. In 1886, he ordered a sword to be dedicated to Ise Jingu and moved to Tokyo, where he made a sword in the precincts of Yasukuni Shrine. He then continues to imitate the Shosoin treasure sword.
In addition to Emperor Komei, Emperor Meiji, Emperor Taisho, and Emperor Showa, he produced swords for the Miyake family, including Chichibumiya, Takamatsumiya, and Mikasamiya. He became an imperial artist who was the highest honor in the art world at that time with Sadaichi Tsukiyama in 1906. He died at the age of 97 in October 1926.

From Aoi Art: This Tanto was made for Mr. Sentaro Muroyama and quite nice swords.
We recommend this sword for you.
