This sword belongs to Saijyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :　Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length :36.2cm or 14.25inches.
Sori:0.4cm or 0.15inches.
Mekugi:2
Width at the hamachi:3.04cm or 1.19inches.
Kasane:0.56cm or 0.22inches.
The weight of the sword:265grams.
Era: The Edo period, Kanei era.
Shape: The blade is broad and normally thick, Mitsumune,
Sori is typical Nambokrcho-style, Bo-hi on the both sides.
Jigane: Itame-hada, Hada-dachi(patterns become visible),
Masame flows into bottom of Jigane, filled with Jinie, Chikei appears.
Hamon: Suguha from hamachi, after that Gunome-midare with deep Nioikuchi,
Boshi turns back with a small circle with deep Nioikuchi.

Special feature: Chikuzen Shimosaka Yoshitoki is a sword smith from
Chikuzen, originally born in Echizen Fukui. A son of Kanesaki, who
was called “Hikodayu” lived also in Edo, and finally died on 8th of
July, Keian 2.(1649)

From Aoi Art: Apparently, this work reminds us of the 1st Kanemichi or
Ecchu Kami Masatoshi. Perhaps it was made to copy the Tametsugu,
he is not famous but we can assure his skill. He didn’t live so long
and we don’t have so many productions of him: that’s why he never
became famous. We truly recommend this beautiful Wakizashi for you.
