The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 60.2 cm or 23.70 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.0 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.3 cm or 0.90 inches.
Kasane : 0.6 cm or 0.23 inches.

Era : Nanbokucho period.
Shape : Slightly shorter Katana
Jigane : Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with thick Nioikuchi.
There are Manu Kinsuji. Boshi is Midarekomi style.
The Hamon is variety.

Special feature: It is the accepted view that Kaneuji, one of a ten brilliant pupils
of Masamune was the founder of Naoe-Shizu school. Kaneuji worked at Shizu in Mino province.
He and his followers moved to Naoe in the Nambokucho period. Representative swordsmiths
were Kaneuji, Kanetsugu, Kanetomo and Kanenobu but their signed pieces are extremely rare.
