The blade was polished.

Width at the Kissaki: 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.

Era: Edo period around Houei era. 1707.
Shape: Regular width and thickness nice shape Katana.
Jigane: Ko Itame Hada well graiend with Jinie attached.
The good polish was done.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with thick Nioikuchi.
In the Ha, there are Sunagashi and Kinsuji.
Boshi is Midarekomi style.

Special Feature: This blade was made by Izumi Kami Kunitora the 1st generation. There is a production date “Houei 4 Hinoto-I Nen 8 Gatsu Hi Motte Nanban Yutetsu Saku”. and carve a chrysanthemum crest beautifully. Kunitora was from Horikawa Kunihiro school. He was also a student of Inoue Shinkai. He lived in Iwasaki Castle, his home country, and serves the Naito family. He passed away on August 4th,1718 at the age of 61.　Since it has the inscription of Hoei for 4 years, it is thought that it was the time when he learned as a disciple of Shinkai Inoue.　The sword is carefully and well made. The number of production of Kunitora is small. This is work we would definitely recommend. The polishing was done by Mukansa.

From Aoi Art: The Kunitora blade is a well-made work with an extremely small number of productions. The blade reminds me of Naoe Shizu. The Jigane and Hamon are so nice.
