(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular

This sword belongs to the Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki:
Blade length:31.6cm or 12.44inches.
Sori:0.2 cm or 0.07inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi:2.9cm or 1.14inches.
Kasane:0.54cm or 0.24inches.
The weight of the sword:235grams.
Era: The early Edo period
Shape: The blade is broad and Kasane is Mitsu-mune, has a certain of Sori. Sword and Sanskrit are engraved on the front and Bo-hi and Soe-hi are engraved on the back.
Jigane: Koitame-hada grained, Hadadachi, Jinie appears a lot, Suguha works well, Boshi turns back round beautifully.
Hamon: Suikei Utsuri appears from the tip of Hamon, like Kunihiro. Jihada is well grained and Jinie is attached, Hadame is visible.

Special feature: This work was made by Yasutsugu 1st generation before he succeeded to his family. We can see somehow lots of Itame and Hadame is visible. It is a little bit disappointing that the last half of the signature was cut and gone, however, the engravings are amazingly well-done and the length is adequate, we can say that it is a really well-made great work.

From Aoi Art: The broad, Mitsu-mune blade with a strong trace of Itame: really marvelous. In this kind of works, Jigane tends to get rough and Hadame works largely to shape calm Hamon. We can feel the times which this sword had been passing, really nice-made work.
