This sword belongs to Jyo jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold color double habaki.
Blade length: 44.7 cm or17.598 inches.
Sori :1.1 cm or 0.433 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi: 2.67cm or 1.05 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.22cm or 0.87inches.
Kasane : 0.52 cm or 0.205 inches.
The weight of the sword:360 grams.
Era: 1346 Nanbokucho period.
Shape: O-Suriage Mumei. Regular width and thickness but Sori is deep and
Kissaki is longer. Bo-hi, Futasuji-Hi, and characters are engraved on
both sides.
Jigane: Itame-Hada well grained, JInie attached, Chikei is visible.
Hamon: Niedeki, Deep Nioikuchi Gunome Midare. Sunagashi and Kinsuji
worked a lot. Boshi is Midare-Komi style round shape, Kinsuji also
worked at Boshi.
Special feature: Sekishu Sadatsuna, is the son of Naotsuna 1st generation.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Iron Tsuba. Mt. Fuji, clouds, ship, people and trees are engraved with gold inlay. Jyakushi
Fuchikashira: Iron plate, the dragon is engraved with gold inlay. Jyakushi
Saya: Black color, patterns are engraved.
Fron Aoi Art: High quality Mumei sword which was judged as Sekishu Sadatsuna. Jigane is good and Hamon is deep Nioikuchi Gunome-Midare. The sword is beautiful as it is but if the sword will be repolished, it will be more beautiful. The fittings are made by Jyakushi. We recommend this great work.
