This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :silver and gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length:26.8cm or 10.55inches.
Sori:0.0cm or 0.0inches.

Width at the hamachi:2.48cm or 0.97inches.
Kasane :0.52cm or 0.20inches.
The weight of the sword:170grams.
Era: The late Kamakura period. (Around 1330.)
Shape: The body is normally broad and thick, there are Bohi on the both sides.
Jigane: Koitame-hada well grained, Jinie attached, Utsuri appears well.
Hamon: Koniedeki Suguha, the part which has deep Nioikuchi and the sharp Hamon
cross over, Boshi turns back round.
Special feature: Enju school, which made swords from the late Kamakura period to the
early Nambokucho period, flourished in Bishu Kikuchi and many skilled sword smiths
appeared one after another. They have tendency to make works with Suguha with
Komidare style and Suguha with Sunagashi and Kinsuji in Hachu.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Oval iron Tsuba, engraved with brass-inlay. Heianjo-inlay.
Fuchikashira: Silver-Nanako plate, Kiri-mon(paulownia designs) is engraved with gold
color.
Saya: Kuroishimeji Saya, Kiri-mon is painted by Japanese black lacquer. Long-eared
rabbit is engraved on the backside with gold.
Kojiri: Silver-Nanako plate, Kiri-mon is engraved with gold color.
Menuki: Shakudo plate, spider web and spider are engraved with Shakudo, Shishi-dog is
engraved on the spider web and painted with gold.
Kozuka: Shakudo plate, Kiri-mon is engraved with gold color.
Kogatana: Hamon is Gunomemidare.
Warekogai: Shakudo plate, patterns are engraved.
From Aoi Art: This work was attributed as Enju by NBTHK, however it has no personal
signature and it was judged as Tokubetsu Hozon Token. Koshirae is well-organized with
Kiri-mon, suits the blade very well. A great Tanto with Koshirae, which we can truly
recommend for you.
